FAQ: Is it ok for non-Indigenous people to wear 'You Are On Native Land' products.
A: YES. It is a sign of solidarity to wear it and it makes space for Indigenous people in everyday life.
Our ‘You Are On Native Land’ design was created in 2018 to remind people that we are all on Indigenous Land. The idea came from living in Yelamu Ohlone Territory (San Francisco, CA). We were walking down the busy streets of San Francisco filled with tech folks and people who were not aware ofthe original people who continue to live in and around the Bay Area.
In 2020, we brought on Chantel Ricks as our sustainability lead and warehouse manager. With her guidance & expertise, we have transformed where and how we source our materials. As we continue forward, we are consistently improving the sustainability of our supply chain.
